New Delhi: CNN-IBN on Wednesday reported the story of thirteen-day-old Kritika, who was found in an auto rickshaw in Noida, then handed over by police to a childless family.

The family only kept the baby for three days, before backing out when they discovered that she could possibly be HIV positive. The reason - she tested HIV Reactive in a basic AIDS test.

Kritika has since been under the care of an NGO.

Now her test results now prove that she is HIV negative.

Satyam Hospital MD Dr Narendra Gupra said, "Kritika is absolutely normal. We have the report from the Ranbaxy that she is HIV negative. She is not carrying the DNA for HIV virus."

The NGO, which was taking care of the baby, will now look for the adoption procedures.
